REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1.Bachelor’s Degree
2.A minimum of one year experience in college athletics, whether as a student worker or student-athlete
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Experience with facility and/or event management, or a degree in a similar field
2.Experience at the NCAA D-I level
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY:

3.Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes and vendors

8.Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets
9.Availability to work flexible work schedule including nights and weekends
10.Thorough knowledge of NCAA and American conference rules and regulations
STANDARD: Events are managed and organized commensurate with the standards of a Division I-A athletics program. Problems are resolved promptly and with sensitivity. Issues and concerns are communicated to the appropriate parties and the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Events in an effective manner.
(25%) Assist with distributing credentials for Tulane Athletics staff, vendors, media, visiting team staff, etc.
STANDARD: Credentials are organized and distributed in a timely manner. Information regarding credentials is organized and kept confidential.
(25%) Oversee and supervise Facility and Event Student Worker program. This entails the hiring, scheduling, training, etc… for all student workers and student supervisors.
STANDARD: Fill athletic event staff needs before scheduled events, communicate with staff the expectations of their position and Tulane Athletics, and send weekly reminders of position schedule to staff via email.
(15%) Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the Director for Facilities and Events.
STANDARD: Responsibilities are assigned in order to provide effective service levels. Exhibits a willingness to undertake additional tasks and projects. Constantly seeks knowledge and growth in the strength and conditioning field. Asks questions and gathers information as necessary.
(10%) Help with the set-up, break-down, operation of non-athletic events (meetings, meal, press conferences, etc.)
STANDARD: Ensure that all facilities are set up to the specifications that have been requested and communicate issues and solutions to the head of the event.
